I love Deepak Chopra. And not just because I find his accent to be positively hypnotic. I just think he’s divine. And if you’ve listened to Deepak at all, then you may have heard him talk about the important of luxury.
Bringing some luxury into your life can help you to attract more abundance and more money, often more rapidly than you might think. Luxury doesn’t have to be expensive at all — it can be a small piece of fine chocolate, or a high quality essential oil drizzled into your bath, or putting fresh sheets on your bed and taking a nap in the middle of the day. Or even simpler than that.
Luxury is essential for attracting more. Deepak often says (stealing a quote from W. Somerset Maugham): “It’s a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it.” This is where luxury comes into play.
This became even clearer to me the other day when I was — of all things — about to eat an orange.
When I serve oranges to my kids, I usually just wash the orange, and cut it into 6 or 8 slices, rind and all. But little Adam (nearly 2 years old) can’t seem to get his head around NOT eating the rind. So while I was cutting the rind and pith off of an orange for him, I decided to take the 1 extra step to cut it into supremes (pronounced like the French word, “suh-prehm” not like the American style of pizza, called “supreme.”)
I sampled one (naturally) and OH MY GOD. I forgot how good supremes are! It’s nothing but the meat of the citrus — no pith, no membrane, no seeds, no nuthin but the good stuff. It’s positively, well, supreme! If you’ve ever dined in a fine restaurant (especially for breakfast) — if you were served citrus, it was “supremed.” The taste and mouth feel is far more luxurious than simply an orange wedge or cross-section (which is what you’d get if you have breakfast at, say, Denny’s).
Put more luxury into your life — you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes in your day!
BTW, I have a year-long program that will show you simple and inexpensive ways to introduce more luxury into your life on a weekly basis, in order to attract more abundance to you. All for one low price! Click here to learn more.
P.S. here’s a quick video on how to cut citrus supremes. Totally worth the extra few seconds of effort. Plus if you supreme an orange, you get to drink the juice after. Like fresh-squeezed, but without pulp or waste. Buon Appetito!
