Well, I almost did it. I had set a goal of writing 100,000 worth of novel (wasn’t sure when I started if that would be one novel, or one and a half, and it turned out to be just one) in 30 days. As it turned out, I wrote about 95,000 words. However, I am excited that I finished the novel and after all, that was the main goal.
Congratulations to everyone who completed at least 50,000 words during the contest – it’s a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud!
Now to take a break and enjoy a little more time with my family…before I start the adventure of editing this first draft. I find it’s always best to walk away from a first draft of anything and return with a fresh perspective. That’s my plan here.
Thanks for listening. 🙂
P.S. Want to hear something funny? I actually wrote this post on November 1 and postdated it to today. How’s that for having a clear outcome in mind and visualizing it as “done”? I even estimated the final number of words in advance. How ya like dem apples?
