Continuing with our How to Get Unstuck series, here’s another hot tip to help you get unstuck with Money.
Consider that money is a force of energy. It moves to its own rhythm and it ebbs and flows. Rather than trying to force money to flow with your energy, and what you want and need, what if you were to simply adjust your energy to align more readily with the energy of money?
One way you can do this is to remove money bottlenecks. These are spaces where you’ve inadvertently constricted the flow of money in your life. For example, anywhere you’ve got a breach of integrity around money, there is a money bottleneck.
Look, if you owe someone money, that’s not necessarily constricting the flow of money in your life. But if you had an agreement to pay that person by a certain date, and you aren’t able to fulfill that commitment, then it’s your responsibility to let them know that, and make a new promise that you can keep. (And then keep that new promise.) If you do what most people do – simply drop out of communication – then you’ve created a breach of integrity around money, and that’s bottlenecking new money from flowing to you.
Where in your life have you dropped out of communication around money? Resume that conversation and make amends. Even if you can’t pay right now, call or communicate with the person to let them know what’s going on. I know you’d prefer to wait until you have money to send them, but the sooner you get into communication, the sooner you open up that bottleneck. And trust me, they will appreciate hearing from you today!
Likewise, if you have small fines or fees elsewhere (library fees, overdue annual dues, late charges, domain names that are up for renewal, etc.) take care of those as soon as you possibly can. We tend to think these small expenses don’t matter much, but they are creating money bottlenecks and contributing to your stuckness around cashflow. When you get into action – no matter how small – and start taking care of these tiny money issues, you open yourself up to receive more.
And that’s how you get unstuck around money. Join me next time for the conclusion in this how to get unstuck series. See you there!
