The other day, I got this email from Katie at the Karma Cottage:
If you are depressed, you are living in the past.
If you are anxious, you are living in the future.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.
Followed shortly therafter by this email:
Oops. I meant to send this to myself as a reminder. Please forgive or enjoy.
Naturally, I had to laugh. I can’t think of anyone I know (and I would venture to guess, anyone Katie knows, too) who couldn’t benefit from hearing this quote from Lao Tzu.
So then it got me thinking…. do coincidences really exist? I could check in and get an answer, sure, but I kinda think it’s more fun to just sit with the question. I mean, really, it comes down to what you believe in.
Do you believe in coincidence, or serendipity?
Do you believe your life is predetermined, or a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Incidentally, there’s no right answer here. Because whatever you believe will be true for you. And if you want to make something else true instead, well, then I can help with that.
I mean, I certainly don’t believe you arrived here by accident. Do you?
